Bringing te reo Māori into a community: A student-led initiative

Kerry Boyd headed up the project and associated research around a Wiki Development initiative. She mentions that "My role was to guide a small group of Year 7 and 8 students who are part of a 'Community Problem Solving Group' with the creation of a Wiki. Students had already created a ‘Wiki’ but had not been able to edit or upload any content to it. This group of students have identified a need within their community they would like to address and that is encouraging the use and correct pronunciation of Te Reo . Feedback from the Community Problem Solving Committee recommended they also try to incorporate some Web 2.0 tools or Social Media into their Wiki" (source).
