This is so true, Lorraine. life/work balance I find very difficult and although I am able to do my blogging for our course at school surrounded by the environment for which this is most beneficial, I often find myself immersed in the learning of the students who come and slump on the chairs in my office. The idea about 'with more responsibility comes more decision making is completely true. Social networking is fabulous when we make time for it. The demands are huge and of course you default to where you are comfortable - for me, its with the community, the staff and of course the kids. What to do, what to do?
How do we create then a life/work balance? With social networking this is getting harder to maintain. In education the more responsibility you take on the more connections you have to make to keep up with the trends and issues of education that affect the decisions your new responsibilities demand of you.
