While there other tools out there other than Google, I must admit I do enjoy the functionality and collaborative opportunities that Google tools offer. So, I was really pleased with the recent flurry of updates and upgrades that have been shared by some fabulous folks over the last couple of weeks. The ones that stood out for me are:
Rachel Duckworth says that her "excitement levels are through the roof" with the new updates to Google Sites.
Thanks to Toby Durney for sharing the Google Forms Quiz Creation. Toby writes "A very useful addition to Google Forms. The form can now create and grade the quiz. Web links can be added for further learning if the students get an incorrect or correct answer. This will be very useful."
Greg Carroll shares Google Cast for Education - "Coming to a Chrome Browser near you. Looks like it may well integrate with your Classroom environment to pull in membership of groups etc". The description on the site reads "Google Cast for Education is a free Chrome app that allows students and teachers to share their screens wirelessly from anywhere in the classroom. Cast for Education carries video and audio across complex school networks, has built-in controls for teachers, and works seamlessly with Google Classroom" (source).
