Star Wars is not just a hugely popular group of movies but it is more.
I came on the following materials that opened my eyes to the deeper levels of this.
While I enjoy the movies, I do not obsess over the matters between viewings. Yet there are millions of passionate fans all over the world that have the posters, action figures, and costumes a…Continue

It's all rather confusing! A while back, the wonderful Rachel Dingle shared a piece of research with me that made me go...hmmmm. I admit that I like to watch movies on Netflix and at the multiplex. I also like short animated videos on Youtube.
For years I have wondered about what went into making such visual works of art. At the end of the movie there are the credits with lots of names. There are titles for the types of workers that were finally explained in this short Crash Course lesson.…Continue

I sat by the pond in the city park.
There was a tiny current passing through the pond.
At both ends the small but constant movement could be seen.
This pond was a few meters across and maybe one meter deep.
It had been carved out of the earth during run offs from heavy rains.
The banks of the pond showed erosion that exposed roots of trees.
There were tangles of sticks that netted odd bits of litter.
Green strings of algae were draped over many of…

It is the goal of many people to work from home (aka telecommuting), while others revel in the opportunity to interact face-to-face. Both ways of working have their benefits, and both have their drawbacks.
In the blog post, There's no such thing as a…Continue
Our brains are amazing organs that allows us to sort, organise and build information in such a way that makes planning and doing things easy.
However, even this incredible system needs a bit of TLC from time to time. If we don’t give ourselves time to close one box before we open another, then things can get mixed up, misinterpreted and even lost. If this continues, we…
While under discussion between coaching theorists and practitioners, there are some core competencies that most will agree contribute to being an effective coach. These core competencies are the ‘things a coach does’ before, during and after a coaching session, and comprise coaching knowledge, skills, attitude and behaviour (Southern Institute of Technology,…Continue
