Hi Cornelia. The main difference is that if you leave a comment in the Kidpower group all members of  that group receive notification. If you leave a comment on a wall outside the group (and this is Jo's wall and I just happened to notice your comment in the recent activity notifications) 1) only that person gets notification that a message has been left; 2) the comment is public to all members of the community. Cheers. Hazel

Hi Jo and Hazel,

what's the difference between putting a comment here and putting a comment on the wall of the Kidpower group?

The conversation re: free versus monthly payment is a perfect candidate for the discussion forums, and it would be great to hear what other folk think too. Are you happy for me to grab your comment and start a conversation, or would you like to pop in and start a forum? :-) BTW - think you are absolutely right; I am more than happy to pay for (not too pricey) premium services (e.g. I have a Flickr pro account), if the service/platform/support being offered is good...at the end of the day, employees wages have to be paid. Also, changing the look and feel of a site (with members etc) every couple of months is not a good look, and people will drift off as it goes into the too hard basket.

Build it and they will come...:-) Or something! Thanks for the feedback. The site is hot off the press (hence some of it is still under construction), and we are just beginning to invite folk and add the link all over the place. Of course, now Ning is going to remove the free option, so it may be we have to shift again :-(
